The Scenes

Seeing triggers association, which leaps across fragmentary recollection of image in our mind. With uncountable images in daily life of digital era, such association leaps widely and rapidly, and reveals the way seeing nowadays.

“The Scenes” is a painting series started in 2018, taking scenes from different films as subject, it intends to represent the recollection and the desire of representation itself.

“The Scenes” is made by continuous painting process as one-day performance. By simplifying intention of individual pieces, “The Scenes” aims on dispersing the complex and overlapped intention in traditional painting into multiple pieces to improve fluency of painting process in order to catch up the freshness of desire.
